Speed is specialized in container transportation. This private owned company offers, developes and produces quality unit transport services for shipping companies, their agents, big Finnish import and export companies and forwarding agencies.

Speed has over 20 years of experience on container transportation. In addition to our wide-ranged and effective service, we also provide our clients number of supplementary services: import and export declarations, container releases, loadings , unloadings, custom clearences and permits for special transportations.

Thanks to our web-based SpeedOnline-transportation order and follow-up system, all work is done effectively, saving time and minimizing costs.

In November 2008 Speed moved to a brand new location at Vuosaari Port. The company has offices also in Mussalo port, Kotka and in Hollola in Lahti area.

We invest into the quality and operational trustworthiness in our services. Our key targets are customer satisfaction, employee prosperity and good financial result. The Speed quality system received the ISO 9002 certificate in 1995 and in year 2003 the ISO 9001 quality certificate.

As a first traffic operator in Finland, Speed received the Custom granted AEO-status (Authorized Economic Operator). This certificate is a notification of Speed´s reliable and safe actions in the global chain of transportations.

AEO is the safety project for the world trade markets, to prevent illegal entry to goods, information and documents under Custom supervision.

At 2009 Dun & Brandstreet / Soliditet granted Speed Group the highest AAA-credit rating, where only 4,3 % of Finnish companies belong.

The roots in this company are strongly in transportation and in entrepreneurship. This road was pioneered by the father of the current owner, who acted as a traffic contractor in transportation business since 1940. The family´s first truck “Fighter Ford 1940” is renovated and owned by Speed Oy.
