EcoTrucks are lowering emissions by 40% comparing to the traditional mode of road transportation by being able to carry more than one ocean container at the time. They have been developed by Speed Ltd. in cooperation with their partners and do perfectly fit to UPM´s strategy “-30 by 2030”.

Anita Wrotna states ”The UPM logistics teams are constantly working to find suitable and more efficient solutions and methods to reduce emissions. The focus is on route optimization and finding most suitable partners for fleet efficiency optimization.”

Lauri Kunnas, Timber’s Supply Chain Director, emphasizes also the importance of this partnership. “We have made sound decisions by adopting the use of longer and larger specialized trucks. This change not only reduces our environmental impact but also makes our operations more sustainable”, Lauri Kunnas says.
