TABLET COMPUTERS MAKING COMMUNICATION MORE EFFICIENT (9.11.2016)
The old vehicle mount computers have been replaced in all Speed trucks by new tablet computers. First experiences of the drivers have been positive. The task information is transmitted reliably and real-time follow up is simpler. Tablets have also enabled making of significant improvements to the transportation order- and follow up system, which will for instance provide even wider set of reporting to the customers.

LOW EMISSION CONTAINER TRANSPORTATION (29.8.2016)
The selection of low emission transport services of Speed expanded again as the first LNG-fueled truck was taken into use. The use of LNG for heavy-duty vehicles was enabled, when the first LNG filling station for heavy-duty vehicles was opened at Vuosaari harbor on 29.8.2016. There are only two LNG-fueled trucks operating in Finland at the moment but the number is to be increased as new LNG filling stations are opened.

Speed continues the development of environmentally responsible transportations by choosing a LNG-fueled Volvo as a truck for container transportation. Using Liqufied Natural Gas in container transportation will be possible in August as Gasum will open a LNG refueling station for heavy-duty vehicles at Vuosaari Harbor. More...

PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL AND HIGH-CLASS SERVICE AS STRENGHTS (3.2.2016)
The results of the customer satisfaction survey, carried out in November 2015, point out that professional personnel and high-class service are seen as the biggest strengths of Speed. The quality of the service was asked to be evaluated with the scale 4-10. The average grade given by the customers was 8,8 and we are humbly proud of it. The direction is right as the average grade of the last survey (carried out in 2013) was 8,7.

NATURE THANKS ECO-TRUCK (21.5.2015)
The research results concerning Eco-trucks, operating on an exceptional permit given by Trafi, are positive. The fuel consumption and emissions per transported ton of the 33 meter long and maximum 90 tons heavy eco-truck were clearly lower than normal truck and trailers had. Hence, the target of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 40% has been accomplished. More...
